This Christmas has been bittersweet for me. My husband and I had been looking forward to having our son Jordan, who lives and works in the UK, come home for Christmas as a newlywed. The three weeks that he and his spouse have been here have simply flown by, with them working long-distance the first week, then going on their belated honeymoon to Bali the second, and, in this third week, meeting and catching up with friends and family.
We had expected no less, for we knew that friends and family who had not been able to fly all the way from Singapore to the UK for their wedding would want to see them when they were here. So it’s been a time of joy, peace and of tying loose ends.
